Forum Nightstop Cheshire
Forum Nightstop Cheshire provides a response for young people aged 16-25 by housing them for a short time (between 1 and 7 nights) with a range of approved hosts, while efforts are made to resolve their crisis in a way which enables them safely to move on to a positive destination.

Nighstop provides a safe and supportive family environment, enabling the local housing authority and partners time to assess the needs of the young person and provide a tailored package of care.  The desirable outcome for most young people will be to return home and Nightstop provides the young person with “breathing space” to help resolve the situation at home and consider their future.

FIRM Project
Forum Housing Association, in partnership with Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council will deliver a intervention and mediation service for young people across Cheshire West as part of a range of measures aimed at preventing homelessness.

In addition to the intervention and mediation service, data will be collected on the extent and nature of youth homelessness.

Supported Lodgings Scheme
This is a unique service for Cheshire East of personalised family and community based accommodation and support which is capable of delivering outstanding outcomes for young people. Supported Lodgings can be a Stepping Stone for a young person who wants to
get their own place.

It offers a way to live independently from parents and gives young people a lot more space to create their own life. Giving young people a real choice of high quality, local, individualised support. It is a smart and professional choice for young people to make. It enables them to live in high quality accommodation at the heart of their local communities and also often
experience a different way of life.

The success of the scheme is heavily dependent on the excellent relationship that Forum Housing Association has with its host households. We are there to support our hosts at every step of the way, from initial training to providing a 24 hour support line and regular supervision.

Young Person’s Housing Advice Service

The Young Person’s Housing Advise Worker is based in Crewe, Cheshire East and works in partnership with Cheshire East Council Housing Options Team, Youth Offending Service, Connexions and the YMCA.

The service provides a Mediation and Intervention Service for young people aged 16-25 years old and their families, which helps young people return or remain in the family home, or source alternative accommodation which is deemed suitable and sustainable. The service offers information, advice, guidance and support to enable and empower young people to make positive choices regarding their accommodation needs and prevent youth homelessness.
