Forum Nightstop Cheshire
Forum Nightstop Cheshire provides a response for young people aged 16-25 by housing them for a short time (between 1 and 7 nights) with a range of approved hosts, while efforts are made to resolve their crisis in a way which enables them safely to move on to a positive destination.
Nighstop provides a safe and supportive family environment, enabling the local housing authority and partners time to assess the needs of the young person and provide a tailored package of care. The desirable outcome for most young people will be to return home and Nightstop provides the young person with “breathing space” to help resolve the situation at home and consider their future.
FIRM Project
Forum Housing Association, in partnership with Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council will deliver a intervention and mediation service for young people across Cheshire West as part of a range of measures aimed at preventing homelessness.
In addition to the intervention and mediation service, data will be collected on the extent and nature of youth homelessness.
