THE ENGAGEMENT TEAM
Introduction

The Engagement Team has 4 services within it, Careers, Talent, Intervention and Health. The aim of the team is to deliver the services that capture the potential of all residents, promoting their skills and personal talents and equipping them with the additional confidence needed to support their leadership potential and journey towards independent living.
Engagement Talent Workers
This specific service responsibility is to scout for talent within young people and talent is anything that a young person deems as individual to them. Their role is also to coach young people into engaging in the business of the Association; involving them in the consultation and participation opportunities within the Association.
Engagement Intervention Workers
This service provides support to Projects to take action that is reasonable and proportional towards inappropriate displayed behaviours. To work with young people on a one-to-one basis who are willing to be coached, and to make sincere life choices. The team will deliver learning sessions parallel with this to compliment that work in groups.
Acceler8 Service
The former Accerler8 programme has been changed slightly to include a whole range of new initiatives. The programme requires the team to be well prepared to receive young people to coach them to plan for now, and work towards planning for their future. In addition they will coach residents into equipping themselves to be confident and competent to search and take steps for their own career.
Engagement Health Workers
The service is to help create healthy environments by reducing the impact of risk factors in general, sexual and physical health and coaching young people into improving their social well-being. Building on young people’s current skills and confidence levels and helping them in areas of problem solving, coping strategies, health outcomes, and making lifestyle changes, all aimed at preparing young people for independent living.
