Residents' rights and responsibilities

As a resident of the Association you have the right to the following:-

A Written Licence Agreement

To be consulted about changes to your Licence Agreement

The right to stay in your accommodation
       Unless you break the conditions in your Licence Agreement

The right to access to your home 24 hours a day
Does not apply to communal areas

A right to be treated fairly

A right to see information held about you

The right to information about your security in your home
  For example you must be given a written licence agreement and
  be consulted about any changes

The right to know what accommodation charges you have to pay

The right to know about your service charge

The right to be notified of any change to your service charge

The right to information about accommodation charges

The right to a good standard of accommodation and repairs

The right to a responsive repairs service

The right to move out for work to be done

The right to information about repairs and improvements

The right to be consulted

The right to be given opportunities to get involved and influence services

The right to information about consultation and involvement

The right to make a complaint about the Association

The right to go to an independent ombudsman

The right to complain to the Housing Corporation

The right to go to the Courts
          If you believe that your landlord is breaking the law

Reponsibilities

All residents will have a responsibility to abide by the Licence Agreement or Tenancy signed at interview. During your interview a member of the Project staff team will fully explain your agreement. Questions about your agreement can be asked at any time.
